The Poodle
The poodle, a dog breed of European origin, is officially recognized by the International Cynological Federation (FCI) and the Italian National Kennel Club (ENCI). These organizations provide detailed descriptions of character and breed standards.

Origins of poodle breed
From the FCI’s point of view, the poodle is classified as a companion dog, and its character is described as lively, intelligent, and affectionate. Its superior intelligence makes it easily trainable, while its liveliness makes it a playful and active companion. The FCI also emphasizes the importance of early socialization, encouraging responsible owners to expose poodle puppies to different situations and environments from a young age.
The ENCI, which manages cynophilia in Italy, confirms these distinctive characteristics and emphasizes the poodle’s loyalty and deviation towards members of its human family. Their description also emphasizes the ability to adapt well to various living conditions, making them suitable for both those living in apartments and those with larger spaces.
Both organizations insist on the importance of regular grooming to keep the poodle’s curly coat in top condition. Coat care not only contributes to the aesthetics but also to the overall well-being of the dog.
Interestingly, the poodle is often described as a dog that is suitable for many people, due to its adaptability and sociable nature. Its versatility makes it a popular choice among those looking for a loyal and intelligent companion that is suitable for different life situations.

The Toy Poodle Breeding: A Careful Selection for the Perfect Companion
In the world of dog breeding, the Toy Poodle stands out as one of the most fascinating breeds—not just for its appearance and nature, but also for its intelligence. However, not everyone realizes that behind each puppy lies an extensive process of selection and care that begins long before birth.
At our Toy Poodle breeding program, we focus not only on aesthetics but also on the physical and mental well-being of the breed. Selection starts with choosing parents with a balanced temperament, avoiding bloodlines prone to genetic issues. One of the most important health aspects we monitor is patellar luxation, a common condition in small breeds, which is screened through specialized veterinary tests.
But selection goes beyond physical health. Puppies are born into a calm and stimulating environment, where they are exposed to various sensory experiences from their earliest days. This process helps them develop a natural curiosity about the world, making them more confident and well-prepared for life with their future families.
Choosing a Toy Poodle means more than selecting a small-sized dog with a curly, hypoallergenic coat—it means welcoming a lifelong companion. These dogs form deep emotional bonds with their families, love being part of everyday routines, and adapt perfectly to both apartment living and more active lifestyles.
A responsible and ethical breeder doesn’t just ensure that puppies are born healthy but also follows their development after adoption. For this reason, acquiring a Toy Poodle should always be a conscious decision, based on quality selection and trust between breeder and new owner.
Discovering the magic of a carefully selected Toy Poodle means bringing home a bundle of intelligence, affection, and playfulness, ready to fill your life with unconditional love.

In summary, the poodle is a dog with a sweet and friendly nature, suitable for families, singles or the elderly. Its combination of intelligence, affection and liveliness makes it a popular companion in many homes.
The Beauty of the Heart
What have we not yet understood about the beauty of the heart…?
The poodle is a faithful friend and a trusted love forever! The bond that is established between the poodle and its human reference is a unique, special, indissoluble bond.
March 8, 2025 marks the 90th anniversary of the death of Hachiko, the Akita Inu dog named Hachiko who waited for his owner for almost ten years at Shibuya Station, Japan, unaware that he would never return. Hachiko (even though his real name was just Hachi, which means 8, a lucky number in China and Japan) thus became a living symbol of loyalty and unconditional love, embodying values deeply rooted in Japanese culture.
This story has also become a beautiful film with Richard Gere, very dear to dog lovers. Dogs have no sense of time, and poodles also establish a unique and lasting bond with their owner, a bond of pure love that lasts forever.
Here we see Otello di Mater Dei Regina Pacis, a very special dog, with his owner, Caterina Procopio.

For me, Caterina, the beauty of the heart is recognizing the value of each breed in its characteristics and peculiarities. The work of sacrifice, waiting, verification, planning is important, with which each breed can better manifest its identity in the selection of those who take on the responsibility of caring for it.
